The Israeli Defense Forces ( IDF) denied on Wednesday any involvement in a reported shooting incident in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian media outlets reported on Wednesday morning that an Islamic Jihad militant was killed from the Israeli military's fire in the eastern part of Gaza City. The Palestinians claimed that he was killed by the Israeli forces and charged that two more children were also injured in the artillery fire, including a nine-year-old boy. However, one IDF spokesperson denied any involvement in the shooting and said that no Palestinian target was attacked either on Wednesday morning nor overnight in the Gaza Strip. Moreover, the IDF said it estimates that the event was an internal-Palestinian dispute. Earlier in the day, Ashraf Al-Qedra, spokesperson for the Hamas- run health ministry in Gaza, accused Israel of killing Mohammed Al- Ejla, a 32-year-old Palestinian. Palestinian sources told Xinhua that the militant was about to attack an Israeli pesticide spray vehicle operating in a field behind border fence with an RPG. Palestinian factions in Gaza, led by Islamic Hamas movement, held a fragile ceasefire with Israel. However, tit-for-tat attacks were frequently reported near the volatile fence.
