Israeli authorities demolish house near Al-Aqsa Mosque

On Tuesday 8th January, Bulldozers of the Israeli occupation authority demolished this morning, a house in al-Sweih Neighborhood in Silwan, south of al-Aqsa Mosque, on claims it was built without a permit. Palestinian official news agency, WAFA, reported that Member of the Committee to Defend Silwan, Fakhri Abu Diab, said the house overlooking the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem\'s Old City, and that it is uninhabited and still under construction. Abu Diab stressed the occupation decision to demolish Palestinian houses and structures in the harsh weather conditions shows the ugly face of the Israeli occupation and proves that it doesn\'t take into account the Palestinians\' conditions. \"The Israeli occupation is merciless, it tries to achieve its goal by deporting and displacing the Jerusalemites, seize and control their lands at any price,\" Abu Diab added.
