Moshe Silman, the Israeli citizen who set himself on fire during a social justice protest in Tel Aviv a week ago, died of his wounds on Friday at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, Israel's Ha'aretz newspaper reported. The 57-year-old son of Holocaust survivors, was suffering from second and third-degree burns on 94 % of his body. He was pronounced dead after doctors' trials to save his life over the past six days, failed. Silman was facing economic difficulties that triggered him to set himself on fire. Last Saturday, protests sparked in Tel Aviv demonstrating the tough economic situation in Israel.
