Israeli forces Sunday at dawn raided the house of a Palestinian prisoner, released in the recent Gilad Shalit swap, in Saffa, a town west of Ramallah, and handed her a notice to report to Israeli intelligence, according to local sources. Witnesses said Israeli soldiers broke into Somud Karajeh’s house, held her family outside while searching the residence, and inspected the family’s IDs. Karajeh’s ID was confiscated and she was summoned to report to Israeli intelligence in the nearby Ofer military camp later this morning, added the witnesses. Karajeh, 23, was serving a 20-year sentence in Israeli prison when she was released in the recent prisoners’ exchange deal between Israel and Hamas last month, in which Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit was released in exchange for 1027 Palestinian prisoners. Of those, 477 prisoners were released in October with a promise to release the rest within two months.
