Israeli missile defense damaged in accident

Israeli missiles intended to intercept incoming rockets were damaged during routine maintenance earlier this week, Israeli media reported on Friday. Around 20 Iron Dome missiles fell from a vehicle while in storage, causing damage estimated to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, Israeli news site Ynet said. The multi-million dollar missile defense system was installed in southern Israel earlier this year and is designed to intercept short-range projectiles.
