Israeli occupation arrests an Islamic Jihad member

The Israeli occupation forces detained at dawn Thursday a member of the Islamic Jihad Movement after storming his house in Arraba township , South of Jenin. According to local Palestinian sources, an israeli military unit escorted by the israeli intelligence , arrested Mohamed Merdawy, who is also a brother of Thabet Merdawy, a detainee held in the israeli jails. The Israeli unit cordoned the house and forced the inhabitants to evacuate amid harsh winter weather conditions , while searching the house and destroying furniture. They captured Merdawy and took him to an unidentified destination. It is worthy to mention that Mohamed Merdawy had been released four months ago after spending more than 7 years in the israeli prisons. Thabet Merdawy was the first among those who went on a hunger strike in solidarity with prisoner Khader Adnan. The Isreali occupation forces have also arrested five Palestinians from Jenin province at dawn today .
