Israeli settlers Saturday opened fire at residents of the Nablus area village of Qusra injuring two people who were taken to Nablus hospital for treatment, according to Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settler activities in the north of the West Bank. He said settlers attacked the village, south of Nablus, cutting down trees and throwing rocks at homes while opening fire at the residents. He said one of the injured was hit in the abdomen and the second in the leg. A resident told WAFA that shooting was heavy and that it was coming from all directions. He said dozens of settlers were on the outskirts of the village waiting to attack. Daghlas said the settlers damaged dozens of trees residents have planted on land on the outskirts of the village and then threw rocks at homes in the area causing panic. Residents confronted the settlers and clashed with them, he said.
