
Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino held talks here, Monday, with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi. A joint statement today said the two officials discussed bilateral relations and means to bolster them, as well as a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest. The two sides put much stress on economic and investment partnership and exchange in all fields. The Italian official also met Minister of Heritage and Culture Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and Oman\'s Shura Council Chairman Khalid bin Hilal Al-Mawali and discussed issues of mutual interest and bilateral relations. The Italian minister had arrived here Sunday and is on a two-day official visit to the Sultanate.
