Italian Senator Margherita Boniver, Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi’s special envoy for humanitarian emergencies on Thursday visited the Zaatari Refugees Camp near Mafraq and inspected living conditions of Syrian refugees. A press release, issues by Office of the Italian Cooperation for Development, a copy of which was obtained by Petra, said Boniver also visited Syrian refugees outside the Zaatari Camp. The Italian envoy arrived in Amman today on a brief visit during which she will discuss with Jordanian officials means of boosting cooperation in various fields. She valued the role of Jordan in providing services to the Syrian refugees, adding her visit comes to affirm Italy’s support to the Kingdom in its efforts to address the continued influx of Syrian refugees.
