Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi made Tuesday a telephone call to the leadership of the Syrian National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces, which was formed in Doha earlier Monday . Terzi congratulated the coalition’s President and Vice President Sheikh Ahmad Moaz al-Khatib and Riyad Seif respectively on the formation of the coalition. He praised both figures in particular for the role they played in uniting Syrian opposition. He also expressed Italy’s support for the outcomes of the Doha meetings, and pledged the country’s political and economic support to the Assad regime’s opposition.
