Japan may be the first target of the Korean People\'s Army, if Tokyo continues to pursue its hostile policy against Pyongyang, the North Korean central news agency reported on Friday, citing a statement. North Korea in the statement warns the Japanese conservative authorities, who have started preparations for a new war, against hasty actions and counting on U.S. protection. North Korea remembers Japan\'s former war crimes, and those who hope to take advantage of a new war will die in a nuclear flame, the North Korean news agency said. North Korea is able to destroy U.S. bases in Japan\'s territory and other Asian-Pacific regions, warns the DPRK\'s central Rodong Sinmun, the newspaper of the Workers\' Party. Japanese reactionaries will have an inglorious end, if Tokyo joins the reckless attempts of American imperialists to start a war against the DPRK, the newspaper notes. According to the newspaper, Japan has a goal to return into Korea, taking advantage of the U.S. attempts to stifle the people\'s republic with the use of arms. In this connection, Japanese self-defence forces are concentrating in the country\'s western regions to prepare for intrusion into the Korean territory, the Rodong Sinmun said.
