Japan PM arrives in Malaysia for 2-day visit

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Thursday arrived in Malaysia where he was scheduled to discuss economic, security and regional issues with Prime Minister Najib Razak, according to a Malaysian Foreign Ministry statement. It was Abe\'s second visit to Kuala Lumpur. He first visited the South-East Asian country in 2007. Japan is the third-largest trading partner of Malaysia with total trade between the two countries amounting to US$ 47.03 billion in 2012. On Friday, Abe was scheduled to travel to Singapore and meet Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and US Vice President Joseph Biden, who will be in the city-state after a trip to India. On Saturday, the Japanese premier was scheduled to meet with Philippine President Benigno Aquino in Manila, according to a report of DPA.
