The Jordanian government on Wednesday slammed Israeli settlers who sprayed anti-Christian graffiti on a monastery and a Christian cemetery in Jerusalem, the state-run Petra news agency reported. The government stressed its strong condemnation of the acts and the racist and radical remarks that the Israeli settlers wrote on the walls against Jesus Christ. Jordan\'s Minister of States for Media Affairs Samih Maaytah said these acts are provocative to Muslims and Christians and insulting to the religions and their symbols. These acts also represent a stark violation of the worship places, he said, adding that these Israeli acts come at a time when the entire world is about to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. He said the Israeli government is responsible for preventing any violations against worship places, adding that these violations are against the international and humanitarian laws.
