
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh on Monday discussed with Special Representative and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya, Tarek Mitri, the latest developments in Libya. During the meeting, the minister said that Jordan backs the UN mission in Libya, and stressed the need to maintain the security and stability of the African nation. Meanwhile, Mitri briefed Judeh on the UN Mission in Libya and the reform efforts currently underway there. The envoy also underlined the important role played by Jordan to build capacities in Libya. Mitri also noted the important role which Jordan will play through its UN Security Council membership.
