
Interior Minister, Hussein Majali, on Monday, discussed with Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, bilateral ties and developments in the Middle East, particularly the Syrian crisis and its security, political, economic and humanitarian repercussions.Majali stressed the need for cementing ties between Jordan and Luxembourg to achieve common interests and open further prospects for mutual cooperation.On the Syrian issue, Majali said Jordan still bears massive burdens as a result of hosting large numbers of Syrian refugees who are fleeing their country into the Kingdom every day.He stressed that Jordan urgently needs more international aid to ease the burden of the crisis and help citizens, especially in regions hosting the refugees.Majali renewed Jordan’s call for a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in Syria that would stop the bloodshed and preserve Syrian people and territory unity.Asselborn underlined the ramifications of the Syrian crisis on various sectors in Jordan and urged the international community to provide assistance to the Kingdom
