The Jordanian government considered the bill that would annex the Jordan Valley to Israel, a violation to the peace treaty signed between the two countries.According to the London-based newspaper al-Hayat, the Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour made these statements during unannounced meeting with members of the parliament, where he confirmed that Jordan rejects any Israeli plans regarding the Jordan Valley.Ensour added that the U.S. administration informed the Jordanian government that Washington is fully unsatisfied with the Israeli project.Jordanian government spokesman, Mohammed al-Momani, told the same newspaper that Jordan's position is clear; the West Bank and Gaza Strip are Palestinian territories under the Israeli occupation and they are an integral part of the Palestinian state.Al-Momani added that any procedures that would undermine the Two-State Solution and violate the international law and conventions will damage the chances of the peace process.
