Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry Mohammad Ali Al Thaher on Thursday discussed with the Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Koralten means of boosting bilateral ties as well as the latest developments in the region. The two sides highlighted the strong ties between the two countries whether on the bilateral level or through Romania’s membership in the European Union as the Kingdom enjoys an advanced status with the EU. Talks also covered the Syrian crisis and its repercussions on Jordan as it is receiving a growing number of Syrian refugees who fled their country due to the turmoil. Al Thaher and the Romanian minister highlighted the importance of advancing peace between the Palestinians and Israelis to arrive at the two-state solution. The secretary general reviewed reforms carried out by Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II in various fields.
