
Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Nasser Judeh, on Sunday, discussed with United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Robert Serry, latest developments related to the ongoing peace negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides under U.S. sponsorship. The two sides stressed the importance of maintaining continued coordination and consultation with all parties in order to bring about peace. Judeh renewed Jordan’s firm stance calling for establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on pre-1967 lines according to international terms of reference and the Arab Peace Initiative. Serry expressed appreciation for Jordan’s efforts, led by His Majesty the King, to achieve peace and stability in the region.
