Jordan, US sign deal on judicial cooperation

Jordan and the United States signed a treaty on mutual legal assistance on criminal matters. The document, inked by Minister of Justice Bassam Talhouni - during his visit to the US last week - and U.S. Secretary of Justice Eric Holder, aims to combat crime and boost legal and judicial cooperation between the two countries, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported on Wednesday. Talhouni said the agreement comes in the context of framing the relationship of the two countries and unite their efforts in the fight against crime and provide the necessary flexibility on mutual assistance in criminal matters.
