Foreign Minister of Jordan Nasser Jouda has voiced resentment at Israel\'s practices against the Islamic and Christian religious sites in Jerusalem. \"Jordan will always defy any aggression against the holy city,\" said Jouda during Christmas supper at the Nativity Church in the West Bank city of Bethlehem. Jouda has earlier met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and discussed with him the efforts made to revive the peace process with Israel. \"The King of Jordan has a belief that the Palestinian people will ultimately retrieve their full rights,\" Jouda said after his meeting with Abbas. Direct peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israeli stopped in October last year, four weeks after they started under the auspice of the United States.
