
The Jordanian government called on Tuesday on the international community to provide aid for the Syrian refugees living in the kingdom. A statement by the Ministry of Planning said that Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Ibrahim Saif will be taking part in the Second International Humanitarian Pledging Conference for Syria, scheduled tomorrow in Kuwait. The minister will deliver a speech at the conference, in which he would underline the importance of the international community's support to Jordan to continue providing humanitarian services for the refugees. Around 69 countries, UN agencies, and NGOs will be taking part in the conference to shed light on the challenges facing regional countries that host the Syrian refugees. The conference will also highlight the international community's responsibility towards Syria's neighboring countries.
