Jordan’s King Abdullah II met Thursday with visiting Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Koralten, who is currently visiting Jordan as part of a Middle Eastern tour. The meeting addressed the latest developments in the Middle East as well as Jordanian-Romanian ties in the economic, trade, and health fields . On Syria, King Abdullah stressed the need for intensive efforts to arrive at a political solution that puts an end to bloodshed and preserves Syria’s unity. He further urged the international community to support Jordan in its efforts to provide humanitarian services to more than 200,000 Syrian refugees in the Kingdom despite the lack of resources. At the meeting, both sides reviewed efforts to revive the peace process, to arrive at a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that addresses all final status solutions and leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state living in peace alongside Israel.
