Justice Minister Lazhar Karoui Chebbi received, on Wednesday, a delegation from the International Centre for Transitional Justice (ICTJ), including Mr. Habib Nassar, Director for MENA Region within ICTJ, and Mr. Luc Coté, UN and ICTJ Adviser. The delegation members emphasised, on the occasion, the importance of co-operation and exchange of expertise between Tunisia and ICTJ in transitional justice, with the aim of providing all needed guarantees to help carry out fair trials against central figures of the old regime. They voiced satisfaction, in this regard, at the Ministry's commitment to review provisions on fight against torture and the 2003 Anti-Terrorist Act, to comply with international standards.
