Karti receives ambassador of China

The Foreign Minister, Ali Karti, received in his office Sunday the Ambassador of China to Sudan and handed him a congratulatory message from the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, to the Chinese leadership on the confidence awarded to them by the Chinese people, represented in the party and the state and its institutions. Karti also handed the ambassador a similar message from himself to his Chinese counterpart. In a statement to the press after the meeting, Karti said that the atmosphere of change that took place in China has coincided with another atmosphere of change in Sudan which was reflected in the signing of a matrix of cooperation between Sudan and South Sudan State toward ending the situation that lasted for more than one year and resulted in stoppage of the oil supply and exchange of interests between north and South Sudan and stumbling of the agreements\' implementation, a matter that impeded the work of the Chinese companies in the past period. Meanwhile, the Ambassador of China said that the new leadership in his country will stick to the same policy toward Sudan, adding that China looks forward for more coordination, cooperation and distinguished relations with Sudan in all fields and on all the regional and international forums.
