Kazakhstan Ambassador to Jordan Bolat Sarsenbayev presented the keys to 90 caravans to Syrian families in the Zaatari refugee camp. The ambassador told Petra that the caravans were presented by his government at the direction of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev as part of an aid campaign to assist Syrian refugees in the Kingdom. The aid, he added, reflects the strong ties between Jordan and Kazakhstan. The ambassador urged the international community to provide more aid to the Kingdom to help it to overcome the challenges posed by the presence of hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees in Jordan. Further, Nazarbayev praised efforts by Jordan at the regional and international levels to solve the Syrian crisis and preserve Syria’s unity.
