
Secretary of State John Kerry will host the leaders of several United Nations and other international humanitarian organizations at the State Department on Tuesday to discuss the humanitarian response to the Syrian crisis, the department announced. Participants expected for this meeting include Valerie Amos, Under-secretary-general and emergency relief coordinator, UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs; Antonio Guterres, UN high commissioner for refugees, and Filippo Grandi, commissioner-general, United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. Also including Ertharin Cousin, executive director, World Food Program; William Lacy Swing, director general, International Organization for Migration; as well as senior leaders from the World Health Organization, the UN Children\'s Fund and the International Committee of the Red Cross, said the announcement released on Monday night.
