Kerry urges Palestinian, Israeli leaders to resume peace talks

US Secretary of State John F. Kerry said Friday that it was up to Palestinian and Israeli leaders to revive stalled peace talks. Speaking at a press conference prior to his departure for the US at the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Kerry described his Israel talks as \"very productive\" after two-day of talks with Israeli and Palestinian officials. This is Kerry\'s fourth visit to the region since taking office. Kerry said that he had warned both sides to avoid steps that could jeopardize the ongoing shuttle diplomacy towards a peaceful solution, adding that Palestinian and Israeli leaders needed to make \"hard decisions.\" To resume the peace talks between Israel and Palestine frozen in 2010, Israeli side insists that Palestinians to take seat at the peace table without any preconditions while the Palestinian side says Israel must halt construction of Israeli settlements in the West Bank and release more than 400 Palestinians in custody in Israeli prisons.
