Khamenei : Iranian nation\'s resistance thwarts all plots

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that the Iranian nation’s persistence in safeguarding its national identity will protect the country against enemies. The Supreme Leader made the remark on Saturday in a speech to a large gathering of people in the town of Gilan-e Gharb in the western province of Kermanshah Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will stand firm against the enemies and will never step back. The Iranian nation particularly the youths is vigilant in defending the country’s territorial integrity, borders, national identity and its religion, said Ayatollah Khamenei. Referring to recent accusations leveled by the US against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Supreme Leader said the enemies try to isolate the Iranian nation through promotion of Iranophobia but to no avail. The US, Europe and their allies try to bring the Iranian nation to its knees which indicates the value of resistance in attaining the lofty goals for a nation, said the Supreme Leader. Highlighting regional and global developments, Ayatollah Khamenei said the US is now humiliated and isolated in the eyes of world nations, adding that the US president two years ago tried to deceive the public opinion of the region through rhetorics but faced the reaction of people who chanted anti-American slogans. During his visit to Afghanistan, the US president did not dare to leave Bagram Air Base for Kabul as they know they are very isolated among nations, said the Supreme Leader. Referring to the nationwide protests in the US dubbed as Wall Street movement, the Supreme Leader addressed the US officials and said “You are now isolated among your own people and fear majority of your people, but seek to promote Iranophobia through baseless comments.” Praising the Iranian nation for its struggle with the global arrogance, the Supreme Leader said the Islamic Republic of Iran fully backs the oppressed nations and strongly deal with arrogant powers and never gives up. Iranian youths should know their status as the country belongs to them and they should play an active role in all scientific fields and powerfully fight enemies to ensure their promising future, said Ayatollah Khamenei. There is no doubt that the future belongs to Islam and the flag of Islam will be hoisted in all parts of the world, said Ayatollah Khamenei. The Supreme Leader is visiting the town of Gilan-e Gharb on the fourth day of his tour of Kermanshah province.
