
His Majesty King Abdullah II will Monday begin a working visit to New York to take part in the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly along with a number of world leaders. King Abdullah will deliver a keynote speech highlighting Jordan\'s stance on developments in the Middle East and challenges facing the region. His Majesty will also meet on the sidelines of the session with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, and a number of heads of states and delegations besides senior political figures as well as intellectuals and media figures in New York City. The UN General Assembly will discuss in this session economic growth and sustainable development, preserving international peace and security, promotion of human rights, effective coordination of humanitarian assistance efforts, and activation of measures to ensure justice and implementation of international law.
