King Abdullah, Obama hold talks

Jordan’s King Abdullah II and U.S. President Barack Obama on Friday held talks in Amman that focused on means to enhance bilateral cooperation besides regional developments. The two leaders stressed keenness on promoting cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries to serve joint interests, state news agency Petra reported. King Abdullah and Obama also discussed efforts to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting peace based on a two-state solution as the only formula to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. They also discussed repercussions of the Syrian crisis and the huge burden on Jordan due to the increasing flow of Syrian refugees to Jordan.
