
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, today, hailed the historical solid relations between Bahrain and Egypt, noting the Kingdom's keenness to consolidate joint cooperation in various fields and the firm stances of Egypt and its people in supporting Bahrain. HM the King received at the Sakhir Palace the Egypt's popular diplomacy delegation that included politicians, intellectuals, writers, journalists and artists, visiting Bahrain to express thanks to HM the King and the people of Bahrain for Bahrain's honourable stances towards Egypt. The delegation conveyed the greetings and gratitude of the Egyptian leadership and people to Bahrain and its people, wishing the Kingdom further development and prosperity under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. HM the King praised the noble brotherly feeling that embodies the depth of the historical relations between the two countries, and proudly recalled that the first Egyptian educational mission arrived in Bahrain in the early years of last century to contribute to the establishment of the education system in Bahrain. He stressed that Egypt has always represented the Arab strategic depth, noting its stances towards Arab and Islamic nations and its massive efforts in unifying the Arab nation and supporting joint Arab action. He called upon all Egyptian parties to join efforts to promote national unity to achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian people. He reasserted Bahrain's stance towards promoting Egypt to continue its key role in serving Arab and Islamic nations and supporting their just causes, wishing the delegation success in meeting Bahraini officials for strengthening bilateral cooperation relations. HM the King asked the Egyptian delegation to convey his greetings to the Egyptian President, government and people, wishing them further security, stability and well-being.
