King Hamad receives Arab parliament speaker

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received at Al-Sakhir Palace today Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarwan and Secretary-General Dr. Abdulnasser Janahi. HM the King congratulated Mr. Al-Jarwan on his election as Arab Parliament Speaker, wishing him success to bolster joint Arab action and unify efforts towards further cooperation between legislative institutions. HM the King hailed the election of Mr. Al Jarwan as a landmark achievement reflecting the UAE outstanding status. He highlighted the crucial role of the Arab Parliament in advocating Arab and Islamic causes in all international arenas, hailing its efforts in developing and promoting relations of friendship and cooperation between Arab parliaments. HM the highlighted the importance of exchanging visits to promote democracy in Arab countries, which achieved wide strides in the political, economic and social fields. He also congratulated Dr. Abdulnasser Janahi on his election as Arab Parliament Secretary-General, wishing him success in performing his duties.
