King Hamad receives British chief of staff

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received at Al-Safriya Palace British Army Chief of Staff General Sir David Richards, currently on visit to Bahrain. HM the King welcomed the senior British military officer and reviewed with him deep-rooted historic relations and ways of consolidating defence and security ties. He affirmed Bahrain\'s keen interest to bolster cooperation and expand cooperation towards achieving both friendly countries and peoples\' aspirations. HM the King the importance of exchanging senior officials\' visits in consolidation Bahraini-British cooperation. He also paid tribute to the UK for its efforts along with other countries in the world to achieve regional security, stability and peace.
