The Kremlin hopes that the situation involving Iran’s lawsuit filed at the International Court of Arbitration over Russia’s default on the contract for supplying S-300 air defense complexes will be settled, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told a news briefing on the eve of a summit conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), due in Bishkek on Friday. On the sidelines of the summit Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani. “The question of arbitration is on the agenda. I am certain that various aspects of military-technical cooperation will be discussed in detail at the meeting,” he said. “We have put forward our proposals and we do hope that we shall be able to achieve that question,” Ushakov said.
