Rep. Dennis Kucinich, a liberal who twice ran for president, Tuesday appeared beaten in the Democratic primary in his newly drawn Ohio district, results showed. The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer projected Marcy Kaptur, the longest-serving woman in Congress, the winner in the state\'s 9th District with 37,563 votes to Kucinich\'s 25,050. The newspaper said Kaptur won four of the district\'s five counties, though not all ballots had been counted. Kucinich won big in his home county, Cuyahoga, with 73 percent, but it wasn\'t enough to offset Kaptur\'s edge elsewhere, including her home county, Lucas, where she grabbed 94 percent of the vote. \"I thought it was ours to win,\" she told supporters after claiming victory. \"I understand that it takes awhile for people to get used to you. People in Cuyahoga County don\'t have to worry. I will pay attention to them, too.\" The Plain Dealer said Kucinich didn\'t quite concede, but said it didn\'t look good.
