
Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received on Wednesday US Charge d'Affaires Michael J. Adler and Defense Attache Brig.-Gen. Rick B. Mattson. The minister commended, during the meeting, the deep security cooperation relations between the two countries on all levels. Adler and Brig.-Gen Mattson granted the Legion of Merit - the sixth in the order of precedence of U.S. military awards, to the Interior Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for Border Security Maj.-Gen. Sheikh Mohammad Al-Youssof Al-Sabah. The Minister congratulated Sheikh Mohammad Al-Youssof on the honoring which, he said, embodies the achievements made in cooperation on various levels and in various domains notably the joint exercises by the naval and border troops. Sheikh Mohammad Al-Youssof expressed joy for the honoring, saying it comes in recognition by US Military Command of the efficiency of the leaders of the Interior Ministry. For his part, Adler expressed appreciation to Minister Sheikh Mohammad for his keenness on promoting the security cooperation between the two countries and building the capacity of the Kuwaiti security personnel.
