
Kuwait National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim phoned Acting Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Wednesday to review the situation of Kuwaiti nationals in Egypt. Sheikh Sabah told Al-Ghanim that the government has set up a panel on follow-up of the situation after the eruption of violence in Egypt. The Foreign Ministry is in close contact with Kuwait Embassy in Cairo to ensure the safety of all nationals in Egypt, he affirmed. The embassy has contacted several Egyptian universities in order to put off the exams and enrolment for the Kuwaiti students, Sheikh Sabah pointed out. He asked all Kuwaitis in Egypt to follow the safety instructions set by the embassy and dial the following hotline in case of emergency: 00201210444448 .
