Kuwait, Russia seek closer diplomatic ties

Director General of Saud N. Al-Sabah Kuwait Diplomatic Institute Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Sharekh received Russian Ambassador at Kuwait Alexey Solomatin, on Monday, where they discussed boosting bilateral diplomatic ties. The Russian Ambassador conveyed his country's wishes to enhance cooperation with the State of Kuwait in the realm of diplomatic ties. He also aspired to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Kuwaiti diplomatic institute and the diplomatic academy in his country. Al-Sharekh familiarized the Russia diplomat with orientation programs offered by the institute to new employees at the Foreign Ministry, as well as continued training programs for veteran employees. The institute also conducts other lectures and seminars. Both diplomats agreed on taking executive steps required for establishing the aforementioned cooperation.
