
Kuwait will contribute up to USD six million to help UN funds and programs in 2014, said Kuwait's Permanent Envoy to the UN Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi late Monday. Delivering a speech at the United Nations Pledging Conference for Development Activities, Al-Otaibi said that Kuwait was keen on supporting the UN within the development and humanitarian domains. Al-Otaibi said that the Kuwaiti would contribute USD 5.904,000, indicating that his country was eager to increase its pledges to several UN funds and programs to better aid them in their missions. He affirmed that Kuwait was eager to contribute to the UN Millennium Development Goals and the post-2015 Development Agenda, hoping that his country's contribution would help in achieving sustainable development globally and especially in the social, economic, and environment spheres.
