
The Foreign Acting Undersecretary, Sheikh Ali Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, discussed on Wednesday issue of US visas for citizens with the American ambassador to Kuwait, Matthew H. Tueller. Sheikh Ali Abdullah particularly discussed with the diplomat visas for Kuwaiti students. The Acting Undersecretary, during the meeting with the ambassador, relayed keenness of the political leadership on addressing this issue, expressing hope that the US embassy would spare no effort to facilitate issuance of the visas for nationals, namely students as well as citizens seeking medical treatment in the US. For his part, Ambassador Tueller has affirmed that the US diplomatic mission devotes special attention to this question and that it is proceeding with extraordinary effort to issue visas for the Kuwaitis, hastily. The US Administration, he further points out, has recently approved a new system aimed at facilitating visas\' issuance. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador, Jassem Mohammad Al-Bedewi, and the advisor, Fadhel Al-Hassan.
