
Kuwaiti Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Khalid Al-Shaibani discussed on Wednesday with Australia\'s Grand Mufti Dr. Ibrahim Abu Mohamed various issues and challenges facing the Muslim community in the country. In statement of Kuwaiti embassy to Australia and New Zealand, Al-Shaibani hailed the importance of the role religious scholars play in consolidating the real concepts of Islam, based on tolerance, peaceful co-existence, denouncement of all forms of violence and radical notions. Dr. Abu Mohamed praised the pioneering and distinguished role of Kuwaiti charities, which contributes to supporting the Muslim community in Australia and various other countries all over the world. The Muslim community in Australia is estimated at around 400,000.
