Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah is due to depart to Cairo shortly later on Saturday to take part in the emergency ministerial Arab meeting on Gaza. Sheikh Sabah Khalid will head the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the meeting, scheduled to discuss conditions in Gaza in light of Israeli attacks. The meeting will begin later today. The minister is accompanied by the director of his bureau, Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, the permanent delegate to the Arab League Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghuneim and other ranking officials of the ministry. The Arab League announced in Cairo on Friday the call for the emergency meeting, upon requests from Egypt and Palestine and some other Arab countries in response to the continuing Israeli military attacks on Gaza. An agreement has been reached on such date after consultations with various Arab leaders, the League\'s Secretary General, and a number of Arab foreign ministers, Arab League Deputy Secretary General Ambassador Ahmad bin Hilli said in a statement to KUNA.
