
All Kuwaiti citizens living in the UK, which is being affected by severe weather and storms, are fine, the Kuwaiti Embassy in London said in a statement on Wednesday. "All Kuwaiti citizens living in Britain for treatment, tourism or study are safe and sound," the embassy said in the statement, a copy of which was obtained by KUNA. The embassy urged Kuwaiti citizens not to hesitate to contact it in case of emergency, saying that its staff are ready to provide every type of care and support. Winds and pounding rain have lashed Britain and France, killing at least five people, disrupting Christmas travel and leaving tens of thousands without power. In Britain, three people died in pre-Christmas storms and there were two other deaths in car accidents linked to bad weather. However, weather conditions are improving in British cities and traffic is back to normal.
