Larijani congratulates Egyptian Speaker on his election to the post

Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani in a letter on Tuesday congratulated his Egyptian counterpart Ahmad Fahmi on his election as Speaker of Parliament. “I am pleased to cordially congratulate the inauguration of the brotherly Arabian Republic of Egypt’s parliament and your election as the Speaker,” he said in the letter. In the letter Larijani expressed Majlis readiness to expand parliamentary ties with friendly Egyptian parliament based on mutual interests and common Islamic principles. “I seize the opportunity to appeal to the Almighty for your prosperity and for progress of the great Egyptian nation and government,” he added.
