Larijani : Iran’s support for oppressed nations has roots in Islam

Iran’s support for oppressed nations has roots in Islamic values,head of Iran\'s judiciary, Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli-Larijani said here Wednesday. Addressing a meeting of senior judiciary officials, he noted that the US military and political interference in other countries is a significant example of state terrorism.  “The recent US claims about Iran’s plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington is an example of the US double standard behavior toward human rights,” the head of Iran’s judiciary expressed view.  Referring to the US crimes against Afghan and Iraqi nations as well as Washington’s support for the racist Zionist regime\'s crimes toward the Palestinian and the Lebanese nations, he added that human rights is manipulated by the arrogant powers as a political tool.  “Military intervention in other countries has no place in the Iranian Revolutinary Guards (IRGC) doctrine and its’ support for the oppressed peoples around the world is spiritual\' the ayatollah noted.  Iran has respect for Iraq and Afghanistan\'s sovereignty and doesn’t intervene in the internal affairs of those two countries, stated Amoli-Larijani .  He meanwhile underlined that the “We are the 99 percent” movement against capital governing system in the US shows that peoples around the world including the US citizens have been awakened and realized the falseness of US human rights’ claims.  On October 11, US officials alleged Iran\'s Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of plotting to kill the Saudi ambassador to Washington by hiring assassins from a Mexican drug cartel for 1.5 million US dollars.  An Iranian-American car salesman accused of involvement in the plot pleaded not guilty in a New York court.  Iran has strongly denied involvement, describing the allegations as a \'baseless scenario.\'  Tehran said the claim meant to tarnish its \'good relations\' with Saudi Arabia and also distract the world attention from anti-capitalism protests in the US.  In spite of the harsh winter conditions in several US cities, the popular demonstrations around the US does not seem to have lost strength in various US states including Oakland, California, Atlanta, Nashville, San Diego and New York.  It is the second time in two months that riot forces use sophisticated techniques to break up the protesters that represent the 99 percent of the US population, exploited by the great capital enterprises.  Attorneys from New York have opened a criminal investigation against the police of the city for using pepper gas against the civilian activists of the Occupy Wall Street movement, juridical sources have confirmed.  On Sept 17th, the movement took to the streets to denounce the global economic and political crisis. They are also protesting against the use of the public funds to rescue the private banks, but their followers have been subjected by strong police repression.
