Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani in a message to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his counterpart Cemil Cicek condoled Turkish government and people on the devastating earthquake in eastern Turkey on Monday.In his message, Larijani expressed deep grieve over the killer quake in Van province bordering Iran which claimed several lives and wounded a large group of people. Expressing sympathy with Turkish leadership, government and people, he voiced Islamic Republic of Iran’s readiness to dispatch humanitarian aid to quake-hit areas of the neighboring Turkey. An earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale hit southeast Turkey’s Van province near border with Iran at 13:40 local time Sunday. So far, more than 200 people have been confirmed killed while hundreds more feared dead.
