
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has remained head of the Inter-Department Commission for Interaction with NATO. On Thursday, President Vladimir Putin approved new membership of the Commission. The president’s resolution has been placed on the legal information portal. Under the document, the Inter-Department Commission for Interaction with NATO and the Implementation of the Founding Act will be led by Lavrov as in previous years. Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Meshkov has become Lavrov’s deputy. The Commission also involves Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov, State Secretary, Deputy Transport Minister Sergei Aristov and representatives of other ministries and agencies - the Federal Security Service (FSB), the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), the Federal Customs Union, the Ministry of Nature, the Ministry of Communications, the Healthcare Ministry and others. Totally, the Commission involves 25 officials.
