The Europeans should put aside geopolitical games in the face of terrorism, Russia is ready to discuss issues of combating the terrorism threat, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday, opening talks with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
"I hope that all Europeans in the face of the grave terrorism threat and in light of the Brussels terror acts will put aside geopolitical games and unite in order not to allow terrorists to run the show on the continent," he said, according to (ITAR-TASS) news agency.
The minister recalled that anti-terrorism cooperation between Russian and the European Union was frozen. "We'll be open for the discussion of all these and other questions," Lavrov added.
