Russia considers the attempts to falsify history unacceptable, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said. In the address to the participants in an international conference, “Great Patriotic War. Lessons of History, Shared Memory and the Brotherhood of Nations”, Lavrov said, “Unfortunately, the attempts to falsify history are not rare in our days. We believe such shift in emphasis absolutely unacceptable.” Russia will call for building a fair and secure world order based on the generally recognised principles of international law and the U.N. Charter. Russia also called for “strengthening the moral basis of international relations”, Lavrov said. “The war proved what consequences violence, racial intolerance, genocide and the outrage upon people could turn into,” the Russian minister stressed.
