
The Kingdom of Bahrain is set to mark the World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse and the Universal Children's Day, observed worldwide on November 19 and 20 respectively.
The two international days, marked in line with the resolutions of the United Nations, aim to shed light on child rights and the importance of providing them with the necessary care and welfare.
In a statement marking the occasion, the Labour and Social Development Ministry asserted that thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the constant follow-up of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and the unwavering support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, the kingdom has succeeded in ugrading and improving the situation of children in Bahrain on various legal, social, educational and cultural levels.
The Ministry asserted that Royal Decree 37/2012 on the Child Law had put forward the legal and constitutional frameworks that ensure the commitment to the translation of all concepts related to child rights into the ground.
